We have a clear focus on simple and effective project management techniques to achieve our goals. We're fans of Agile. We use a twist of SCRUM and some Management 3.0 frameworks.

We do our best to create readable information for the construction site, easy to understand and simple to execute.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING MADE SIMPLE

Structural Engineering

Plann is, essentially, a structural engineering office. We have a team with a solid background in structural engineering and more than 300 projects delivered.

From the start, we've implemented BIM in our structural engineering projects, using Revit as the primary tool.

We have experience in concrete, steel, and timber structures. We're starting out our journey in masonry buildings in seismic areas, using the Eurocodes.

Existing buildings seismic assessment

Our roots are from the Algarve, in the South of Portugal, with relevant seismic risk. We do our best to preserve the patrimonial heritage, retrofitting the structures to increase their resilience to seismic events.

We've invested in dedicated courses, equipment, and software to effectively study existing buildings to Eurocode 8 part 3.

We do seismic assessment reports on concrete and masonry buildings accordingly to Decreto-Lei 95/2019, Portaria 302/2019, and NP EN1998-3 (Portugal legislation on seismic assessment of existing buildings).

Engineering project's coordination

We have an internal team for structural engineering and for the coordination of engineering projects. We have a multidisciplinary team of collaborators and companies, aligned with the plann's vision, to provide the various engineering projects.

We have experience from small single-family houses to medium-scale projects. We won't lie, we have been involved in demanding structural engineering projects, but managing and coordinating large-scale engineering projects is still in the long haul.

On large-scale projects, with demanding coordination effort, we prefer to partner with companies that have continued experience in such projects.

Survey of structures

We also provide a service where the assessment of a structure is performed. In these cases, the behavior and strength of the structure are evaluated and, if necessary, retrofit techniques and strategies are presented.

Consulting services and projects review

We are always available to collaborate on new projects together with other engineering offices. This participation can be reduced to the design stage of a specific part or member of the structure. Alternatively, we can also provide an in-depth review of the different engineering projects.
